Rakuten is seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our Analytics & Metrics Department (AMD). As part of AIDD, AMD is a centralized data analytics team which supports the data analytics and user behaviour analysis of key AI-driven products including search, recommendation, advertising and other GenAI application.

The team derives insights from data and works with business to make informed decisions. We are looking for a talented individual to work on collecting, processing, and performing statistical analyses on large datasets to discover useful information, suggest conclusions, and support decision-making.

This role provides valuable insights to fuel business growth and enhance customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage statistical tools and techniques to thoroughly explore and analyze datasets, identify key patterns, relationships, and trends that drive business growth and improve user experience.
  • Ensure data quality and relevance by filtering data, handling missing values, and meticulously preparing datasets for analysis.
  • Develop compelling visual representations of data insights, including charts, graphs, and interactive dashboards, to effectively communicate findings to diverse audiences.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations that clearly articulate data insights and findings to stakeholders, influencing data-driven decision-making processes.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments to understand their data requirements and provide actionable insights that empower informed decision-making across the organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced professional who:

  • Has extensive experience (5+ years) as a Data Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the Tech industry with demonstration of increasing levels of responsibilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Expert proficiency in statistical analysis tools and programming languages, including Python and SQL.
  • Proven ability to lead data exploration, analysis, and visualization efforts, with a strong track record of extracting actionable insights from large and complex datasets.
  • Experience with data cleaning and preparation techniques and familiarity with database management systems.
