Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team at IHiS. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and releasing cloud-based infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Strategy and Design:

  • Develop and implement cloud strategy to support business growth and transformation
  • Design and develop cloud infrastructure frameworks to ensure scalability and performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and technical requirements

Cloud Solution Development:

  • Develop detailed technical architecture blueprints and designs for complex projects
  • Design and develop automation and orchestration of software and scripting
  • Integrate solutions with all underlying public and private cloud technologies

Cloud Solution Implementation:

  • Develop implementation strategies and oversee the development and execution of testing
  • Advise on issue resolution and provide technical leadership to the team

Cloud Solution Optimization:

  • Present new methodologies and solutions to key stakeholders to enhance and improve cloud infrastructure performance, scalability, and security
  • Drive continuous improvements of cloud administration and operational processes and standards

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant discipline
  • Minimum 10 years of IT experience in various disciplines, including Linux, WinTel, network, firewalls, databases, load balancers, backup, and storage
  • Minimum 5 years' hands-on experience designing and building enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure
  • Certified Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect or Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification, TOGAF
  • Knowledge of DevOps tool chains and experience with cloud technologies and tools such as Containers, Ansible, Terraform, Chef, Puppet, and languages such as YAML, JSON, or Python
