Career Opportunity: Cinematographer

This role is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of filming, including setting up cameras and lighting equipment. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills.

About the Role:

  • Prepares for the shoot by planning and coordinating with the director and other crew members.
  • Sets up shots through the use of monitors or viewfinders during live action recording.
  • Monitors footage to ensure it meets quality standards.
  • Reviews and marks footage, cuts, or edits during post-production.
  • Works with the film editor to ensure shots fit into the final movie.
  • Advises the director on camera angles and lighting.
  • Sets up cameras and media equipment for various situations.
  • Uses lighting instruments to achieve desired results.
  • Repositions the camera or camera angle to get the perfect shot.
  • Reviews footage and decides whether shots can be reused or need re-shooting.
  • Creates a shot list of all required shots for filming a scene.
  • Determines lighting and special effects requirements for scenes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements a pre-production plan for each shoot.
  • Cooperates with the director and other crew members to ensure smooth execution.
  • Maintains high-quality visual standards throughout production.
  • Collaborates with the film editor to achieve seamless post-production integration.
