Job Description
This role requires a highly skilled and motivated Junior Finance Manager who will oversee our accounting, finance operations, and treasurer activities. As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will contribute to driving operational and expansion objectives.

This position demands a strong advocate for our mission who can leverage their expertise, initiative, and creativity to drive economic and social progress in communities.

The role operates on a contract basis, renewable annually.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive bookkeeping, encompassing general ledger, accounts payable, accruals, and reconciliations
- Prepare detailed fund consolidations across countries and financial statements for portfolio companies
- Oversee treasury functions, including payments and disbursements
- Maintain and update our financial databases
- Collaborate with auditors, tax agents, banks, and corporate secretaries on compliance matters
- Address vendor inquiries and build robust external relationships
- Enhance internal controls and operational procedures
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and audit schedules
- Support finance/accounting-related initiatives and ad-hoc projects
- Mentor junior team members

Requirements
- Proven ownership and accountability as a single contributor

- Flexibility in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment

This role necessitates at least 8 years of experience at a reputable audit firm or in-house accounting role in a financial institution/venture capital. Experience in handling full-set bookkeeping and fund consolidation is essential.

A deep understanding of local accounting standards (FRS109 Financial Instruments and FRS110 Consolidated Financial Statements) and disclosure requirements is vital.
