Design Manager - Civil Engineering

Lead a team of civil engineers in the development and implementation of project designs, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.

The successful candidate will oversee the design process for projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including geotechnical engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers.
  • Review and approve design plans, calculations, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding design status and any potential challenges.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather data and inform design decisions.
  • Evaluate and incorporate innovative design techniques and technologies to improve project outcomes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and designers in best practices and technical skills.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of design experience in civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a design team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
