Job Summary

As a Senior Program Manager at Micron Semiconductor Asia Operations PTE. LTD., you will play a pivotal role in achieving strategic objectives through analytics-driven initiatives. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to create a significant impact on our global operations and strategic goals.

About the Role

This is a senior leadership position responsible for leading cross-functional initiatives across category teams, developing actionable insights that empower the category team to meet business objectives. You will work collaboratively with team members across Micron's global sites to contribute to profitability goals and future cost reduction aspirations. In this role, you will be instrumental in using analytics to drive business decisions and lead efforts to enhance should-cost related processes and systems efficiency.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Be functional expert to provide training & coaching to related CSM on the specific categories' should cost analysis.
  • Work closely w/ related CSM using the McKinsey Cleansheet system to do the should cost model creation, related data gathering & validation, and should cost vs. current price gap analysis & identify continuous cost improvement opportunities.
  • Quarterly evaluate, validate should cost w/ the CSM. Report the should cost related KPI including saving opportunity, should cost coverage/adherence rate etc.
  • Further enhance should cost related process and system efficiency and improve the data visualization through dashboard development.
  • Continuously work w/ CSM & SMAI team to apply process enhancement & automation for the should cost related activities.
  • Support Design for Cost efforts between Sourcing, Engineering and Business units;
Requirements

This role requires a strong project management skill and ability to cooperate effectively with the related stakeholder and drive business performance. Key qualifications include:
  • Familiarity with product cost analysis including identifying the cost structure, investigate the cost element and continuously explore cost improvement opportunities.
  • Deep knowledge on the related commodities including operation process, equipment running cost, technical specification and raw material consumption etc and could build the cost model independently.
  • Strong analytical skills and able to do the cost related market intelligence analysis to facilitate the related data collection.
  • Solid system development skill including the knowledge of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, ML/AI etc.
  • Experience of the McKinsey Cleansheet system or similar cost analysis system is a must.
  • Fluent oral & written English is a must.
