Engineering Leadership Role

  • This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a leadership role and lead a team of officers in implementing distribution cables and equipment renewal projects.
  • As part of this role, you will plan and execute distribution renewal projects according to approved budgets.
  • Formulate and review work procedures and practices to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Lead the process of calling for tender and quotation, as well as purchasing work equipment and tools.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to lead and participate in study teams, task forces, or committees.
  • Attend to customer complaints and feedback to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Perform site management and supervise contractors' work to maintain quality standards.
  • Manage term contracts and monitor outstanding claim submissions.
  • Approve works orders issued to contractors, verify claims submitted by contractors, and certify claims for work done.
  • Be prepared to perform standby duty after office hours, as required.
  • Train and guide subordinates in project implementation, ensuring knowledge transfer and skills development.
  • Prepare contingency plans and perform standby duties for special events.
  • Carry out HT switching for the replacement of equipment and cables, including switching for the testing of protective relays.
  • Contribute to productivity initiatives, validate, and perform value stream mapping for identified projects.
  • Develop operations policies and strategies to drive business growth.
  • Assist in budget preparation for the section, focusing on strategic planning and resource allocation.
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.
  • Possess good oral and written communication skills.
  • Be a team player with a positive working attitude and ability to handle tight deadlines.
