Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate freelance therapist to work with children with special needs in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have experience in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing one-on-one therapy sessions.

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate children's emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and each child's unique needs and goals.
  • Provide one-on-one counseling or therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to address issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and social skills deficits.
  • Collaborate with families and other professionals to provide holistic support and ensure consistency in therapeutic interventions across environments.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of each child's progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide guidance and resources to families, helping them understand and support their child's mental health needs.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A recognized degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
  • Valid registration with the Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC) or relevant professional body in Singapore.
  • Previous experience working with children, particularly in a therapeutic or counseling context.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, mental health issues, and therapeutic techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and empathetic approach to working with children and their families.
  • Ability to work independently and customize therapy plans based on each child's progress and evolving needs.
