Job Description

Medical Laboratory Technologist is a key role in our organization, responsible for performing high complexity testing according to established SOPs. This involves nucleic acid extraction, PCR, genotyping, and next generation sequencing.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or a related field, with familiarity with molecular diagnostics techniques. They will also be willing to undergo training and certification, including MT(ASCP) certification and California Clinical Laboratory Scientist license exam.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performing high complexity testing according to established SOPs
  • Receiving, requisitioning, processing, and identifying specimens and maintaining chain of custody
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical problems as needed
  • Participating in technical and clinical verification and validation studies
  • Monitoring inventory and lab supplies in assigned areas
Requirements:
  • At least a bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science or a related field
  • Familiarity with molecular diagnostics techniques
  • Willingness to undergo training and certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner
