Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Risk Specialist to join our team at People Profilers. As a key member of our Credit Analysis department, you will be responsible for assessing the risk of customers and establishing appropriate credit limits.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Performing thorough financial analysis of customer financial statements to derive their risk profile
  • Preparing comprehensive credit analysis reports to obtain approvals for decisions not within designed authority levels
  • Liaising with relevant parties to gain a better understanding of customers' financial condition
  • Flagging out credit limit exceeds and deciding on the next course of action
  • Negotiating favorable credit limits and status with counterparties
  • Managing accounts receivables and ensuring proactive and reactive credit control takes place

You will also be responsible for staying updated with the latest developments for all approved counterparties, including commercial, banking, and fluctuations in ratings. Additionally, you will need to ensure that counterparties' payments are collected in line with contracted payment terms.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Min 2 years of experience in a similar capacity within the commodity trading industry, with recognized professional finance/credit qualification
  • Knowledge in market risk, credit risk, financial and energy business
  • Possess good negotiation and communication skillset
