About the Role:

The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all aspects of our business operations comply with relevant laws and regulations. This includes monitoring, researching, and assessing the impact of regulatory changes on our internal processes and framework. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing enhancements to ensure continued compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise and communicate effectively with regulatory authorities and enforcement bodies to clarify and resolve compliance issues
• Conduct investigations into suspicious transactions and oversee resolution
• Maintain accurate records of regulatory notifications, misconduct reports, and fit and proper reports
• Monitor and research regulatory changes and developments to implement enhancements as needed
• Review and update compliance policies and procedures regularly to ensure relevance
• Support new business initiatives by assessing potential compliance risks
• Coordinate internal and external audits and inspections
• Review marketing materials for compliance with regulatory requirements
• Provide training on compliance and regulatory matters to staff members
• Act as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) assessments

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Law or a relevant field, with at least 5 years of experience in compliance roles within the asset management industry. Strong knowledge of local regulatory requirements and latest developments is essential. Additionally, excellent written and verbal communication skills, proficiency in Bloomberg, CMGR, Excel, and ability to work under stress and meet tight deadlines are required.

The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
