Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Join our team at GLOBAL TECHSOLUTIONS (S) PTE. LTD. as a Field Service Engineer and take on a challenging role that requires technical expertise and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide field services to customers in the Semiconductor industry, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of equipment issues.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment at customer factories, adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Support customers on facilities construction, including electrical, CDA, gas systems, vacuum, exhaust, and cooling water systems.
  • Receive technology transfer and technical training at equipment manufacturers, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies.
  • Conduct training and technical consulting for customers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive services to customers, ensuring seamless support and resolution.
  • Perform in-house repair services for equipment and devices, including heater jackets and vacuum valves.
  • Support logistic activities, such as parts packing, unpacking, and delivery, ensuring timely and accurate execution.
  • Participate in 6S activities, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and adhering to company policies and regulations.
  • Manage and preserve necessary tools and equipment, ensuring their proper use and maintenance.
  • Attend and report on assigned training courses, enhancing technical knowledge and skills.
  • Follow company policies, regulations, and working safety protocols, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the team leader and Operation Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Write and send reports, including service reports, repair reports, and project daily reports, according to company policies and work procedures.
Requirements:
  • Perform and complete all tasks assigned by the team leader and Department Manager.
  • Support customers in troubleshooting and repairing tools, minimizing tool-down time and ensuring efficient resolution.
  • Protect confidential information of the company and customers, maintaining confidentiality and discretion.
  • Report on time, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Request support from other departments to complete assigned tasks, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
  • Request necessary equipment to perform assigned tasks, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
  • Refuse tasks that are not related to this job description or work that is not assured safety conditions, prioritizing safety and well-being.
  • Report all issues to higher management at actual cases, ensuring prompt resolution and follow-up.
Work Environment:

Workplace: Semiconductor wafer fab (clean room, sub-fab) and GTSS workshop.

Work schedule: 5 days per week, 8.5 hours per day. Able to work OT (evening and weekend) when necessary.
