At Careers@Gov, we are seeking a skilled Cloud Architect and Security Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in architecting, implementing, optimizing, and maintaining our cloud computing systems.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud architecture, cloud native patterns, container management, and cloud computing capabilities, with a focus on security best practices. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying systems in Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) and Commercial Cloud (CC), ensuring robust security controls and network boundary controls are integrated.

You will work closely with different project teams to ensure our cloud computing systems meet the needs of our organization vision. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing secure cloud environments using Azure, AWS, or GCP technologies;
  • Utilizing cloud security controls, network boundary controls, and related toolsets to ensure the security posture of cloud resources;
  • Implementing Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and integrating DevOps for all applications in GCC, including the necessary pipeline and integrations, with a focus on security automation and compliance;
  • Deploying, configuring, and upgrading cloud resources while adhering to stringent security requirements during project implementation;
  • Maintaining and adopting Agile best practices and lifecycles for process workflows, ensuring security considerations are integrated throughout the development lifecycle;

In addition, you will collaborate with Cloud Service Providers (CSPs) to implement necessary changes and improve the security posture of cloud resources based on recommendations and best practices. You will also set up new development tools and infrastructure in the CI/CD landscape, focusing on security automation and compliance.
