Scientist Developer

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Research Fellow.
- About the Role
The successful candidate will be working in a recently granted project to develop enzymes and biotransformations for the synthesis of rare sugars.
This includes engineering new enzymes by directed evolution, investigating enzyme catalysis and kinetics, optimizing biosynthesis yield and process, and developing single-step and/or one-pot cascade enzymatic reactions for the production of rare sugars.
- Key Responsibilities
- Engineering of new enzymes by directed evolution
- Investigation of enzyme catalysis and kinetics
- Optimization of biosynthesis yield and process
- Development of single-step and/or one-pot cascade enzymatic reactions for the production of rare sugars
- Required Qualifications
- PhD trained in biochemical engineering, biocatalysis, biotransformation, biochemistry, biotechnology, synthetic biology, or bioorganic chemistry
- Experience in enzyme engineering, directed evolution, enzymatic reactions, carbohydrates biosynthesis, reaction engineering and optimization, whole-cell biotransformations, and/or process development
- Good communication skills in oral and written English
- Good publication record
