Overview

Renesas Electronics is seeking a skilled Network Engineer to join our AI Workbench team. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our network infrastructure for our board farm. You will work closely with multiple engineering teams to align on both high-level network architecture, security policies, and implementation details.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain our board farm's network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other networking equipment.
  • Configure and optimize network settings to ensure maximum performance and reliability.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues, including connectivity problems, latency issues, and security breaches.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls and intrusion detection systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience working as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, VLANS, and routing protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of applying interface configuration and network protocol configuration in Linux, including security related configurations.
  • Experience in key management and configuration of security protocols, for example: ssh, IPSec etc.
  • Hands-on experience with network equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Collaborate with our company's IT department to ensure compliance with company procedures and policies.
  • Evaluate and recommend new networking technologies and solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, and security.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to team members on network-related issues.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
