Job Description

BIM specialists serve as catalysts between the client's team, design team, and internal technical team.

As a BIM specialist, you will oversee the production of project information models that contain 3D visualisations bringing together data, drawings, and schedules associated with the design and construction phase of a project.

  • Act as intermediary between designers, clients, and architects to ensure projects remain efficient and effective.
  • Work closely with BIM coordinators responsible for producing project information models.
  • Ensure BIM execution plans are produced and maintained for each project.
  • Support and audit the project team, flagging non-compliances.
  • Train or upskill colleagues in specific software programs.
  • Oversee the purchase of workstations to ensure hardware is sufficient and effective.
  • Produce monthly reports for senior managers to identify and measure BIM implementation.
  • Stay updated on advancements in building technology.
  • Drive the implementation of digital information plans and strategies.
  • Lead meetings to identify project tasks and resolve issues.
  • Support staff career development, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Raise the profile of BIM across departments and teams.
  • Adhere to the latest industry standards.
  • Prepare BIM execution plans and project-specific training documentation.
  • Provide technical support and mentoring required by the project team.
  • Manage and maintain project content, sourcing additional content as needed.
  • Effectively communicate changes in procedure and standards to project teams.
  • Coordinate and manage BIM project datasets/workflow and project setup.
  • Communicate effectively, offering cross-team support.
  • Set up linked models and coordinate models across disciplines.
  • Administer and maintain daily model management.
  • Understand and execute government standards during virtual design and construction.
  • Utilize Autocad as needed for projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications

At least 3 years of relevant BIM local project experience with certification in BIM Management and proven experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction-based role.

Degree in Engineering, Architectural, Building Services, or other relevant qualification.

Experience in BIM Modelling coordination, collaboration, model review, quantity take off, file sharing, and management.

Good understanding of Singapore Construction Industry regulations and latest version of Singapore BIM Guidelines.

Specialist Diploma in BIM advantageous.

Strong analytical skills and technical knowledge in BIM management and construction management beneficial.

Meticulous with attention to detail and ability to communicate at all levels.

Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, and similar BIM software in Architectural/Structural/MEP.

Good knowledge in BIM visualization and simulation applications.

Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.

Self-driven, resourceful, and team player.
