Naval Architect Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Naval Architect.

About the Role:

This is a challenging position that requires strong expertise in naval architecture principles and practices. The ideal candidate will have a focus on design, development, and implementation of projects.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Prepare and review layout arrangements in compliance with design specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Technical Expertise: Conduct naval architectural calculations, hydrodynamic analysis, and stability assessments.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers in hull form and general arrangement development, as well as hydrodynamic and stability calculations for tenders and ongoing projects.
  • Evaluation and Documentation: Develop technical specifications for equipment procurement and evaluate vendor bids.
  • Project Management: Generate project-specific documentation and drawing lists.
  • Quality Control: Review and approve calculations, drawings, and material lists to ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
  • Tech Support: Oversee and verify technical information from external suppliers, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Collaboration: Support internal teams and external stakeholders by providing specialized technical expertise.
  • External Liaison: Collaborate with ship owners, regulatory surveyors, and classification bodies.
  • Issue Resolution: Ensure all design-related issues from owners, classification societies, and flag authorities are documented and addressed in a timely manner.
