Design Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Design Engineer to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems for various projects.

  1. Key Responsibilities:
  2. Develop MEP designs in accordance with project requirements, selecting equipment, materials, and components, and creating system layouts and drawings.
  3. Calculate and coordinate MEP design with architectural and structural designs to ensure compatibility and technical compliance.
  4. Prepare MEP specifications, including detailed descriptions of systems, performance requirements, and testing procedures.
  5. Guide Building Information Modelling (BIM) modellers to create BIM models of MEP systems to meet design specifications.
  6. Review and approve MEP shop drawings to ensure construction in accordance with design.
  7. Monitor installation of MEP systems to ensure correct installation and performance.
  8. Provide testing and commissioning compliance factors for MEP systems.
  9. Engage in continuous learning to develop new methodologies and tools for innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • Education: Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Candidates with Sustainable Infrastructure degree welcome to apply.
  • Experience: Must have project experience in ACMV.
  • Certifications: Safety certification, minimum Bizsafe Level 2. Training provided if not already certified.
  • Skills: Proficient in English, strong independence and leadership, knowledge in BIM an advantage.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
