Job Title: Nautical Surveyor Position Available

As a skilled Nautical Surveyor, you will be responsible for conducting various types of surveys on board ships and at sites. Your primary objective will be to gather accurate data and information through thorough inspections and assessments.

  • To attend and carry out surveys on cargo, cargo measuring equipment, and marine related activities in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • To perform marine surveys onboard vessels and inspect cargo at sites to assess and report on their condition for insurance claims and other relevant purposes.
  • To verify the equipment onboard vessels to ensure compliance with various specifications and standards.

Requirements:

  • A Diploma in Nautical, Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution is required.
  • Relevant work experience on vessels is highly advantageous.
  • You must be prepared to work irregular hours, including Public Holidays, due to ship schedules.
  • Successful candidates may have opportunities to travel overseas upon satisfactory performance and skill.

Key Skills:

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential.
  • Strong report writing and presentation skills are necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Knowledge of construction, drawing, administration, fabrication, estimates, marine engineering, compliance, project management, AutoCAD, civil engineering, scheduling, pricing, shipping, cost control, and independent working skills are beneficial.
