About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Operations Team. As an Area Manager, you will report to the Head of Operations and gain experience in managing foodcourts and coffeeshops.

Reporting Line:

  • Head of Operations

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of Senior / Foodcourt Managers to achieve sales targets and enhance outlet performance.
  2. Provide guidance to Senior / Foodcourt Managers and F&B Supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations.
  3. Set directions and provide guidelines to the operational team in accordance with company SOPs and workflows.
  4. Maintain good relationships with landlords, authorities, agencies, and stall tenants.
  5. Assist inspectors from authorities such as NEA, SFA, and Civil Defense during inspections and follow-ups.
  6. Liaise with landlords on building matters, promotions, and events.
  7. Market food stalls to tenants and ensure prompt rental collection.
  8. Manage lease renewal agreements, negotiate terms, and follow up with tenants.
  9. Source qualified tenants and food types to fill vacant stalls and ensure all stalls are occupied.
  10. Propose market-driven activities.
  11. Handle debt recovery actions, including legal proceedings if necessary.
  12. Manage daily sales settlements.
  13. Collaborate with Business Development and Projects to identify new business opportunities and oversee site build and renovation.
  14. Oversee financial and operational performance of designated Foodcourt and Coffeeshop areas.
  15. Coordinate with senior management and finance on budgets.
  16. Develop business plans and report on performance, sales, and budgets regularly.
  17. Implement solutions to improve profit margins.
  18. Maintain quality and service standards.
  19. Develop employees through feedback and performance management.
  20. Conduct regular checks on hygiene, service, and product quality, providing feedback to teams and tenants.
  21. Ensure stall pricing aligns with agreements.
  22. Evaluate stall tenants' performance.
  23. Supervise stall tenants and cleaning contractors to ensure service quality and housekeeping standards.
  24. Conduct weekly and monthly outlet meetings.
  25. Ensure M&E works are completed as scheduled.
  26. Administration
  27. Review staff performance, recommend promotions, and organize training.
  28. Handle disciplinary issues, grievances, disputes, and work tensions.
  29. Manage termination procedures per company guidelines.
  30. Communicate company policies effectively to staff and tenants.
  31. Manage outlet float, petty cash, and daily sales collections.
  32. Ensure accurate and timely deposit of daily sales.
  33. Submit monthly reports to senior management.
  34. Control costs and expenses within budgets.
  35. Address non-conformance issues with tenants and contractors.
  36. Perform any other tasks as assigned.
