Job Overview:

We are seeking an exceptional Tooling Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining stamping dies, ensuring high-quality production output and adhering to Lean Manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up tools for production and unload for Tool Repair & Preventive Maintenance
  • Repair and maintain stamping dies to meet daily production targets and part quality standards
  • Prepare tools for changeovers
  • Suggest improvements on tools to overcome recurring problems
  • Troubleshoot and adjust tooling at stamping machines
  • Change and set up production equipment
  • Assist Process Engineers in controlling tooling spare inventory and requisitions
  • Conduct measurements of products based on product drawing specifications using measuring instruments
  • Comply with existing Documentation Systems and adhere to Lean Manufacturing guidelines
  • Participate in Lean workshops as required
  • Maintain high safety standards and follow safe work practices
  • Ensure good 5S standards
  • Operate basic tool room equipment like Surface Grinders, Drilling & Milling machines
Requirements:
  • Minimum NTC 2 in Tool & Die Making or Diploma in Tool & Die Making
  • At least five years' experience in High Speed Stamping industry
  • Able to read Product and Tooling Drawings
  • Able to debug tooling issues based on die strip / tooling progression
  • Able to operate surface grinding machines and maintain tooling accuracy
  • Able to maintain Carbide Punches and Die and familiar with grinding with Diamond wheels
  • Able to operate Stamping Press and Ancillary Equipment
  • Able to measure stamped parts using precision measuring equipment
  • Able to work independently with minimum guidance
  • Able to communicate effectively
