Tooling Production Specialist

Job Title:
Tooling Production SpecialistWe are seeking a skilled tooling production specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and maintaining tools, repairing stamping dies, and suggesting improvements to overcome recurring problems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up tools for production and unload them for maintenance
- Repair and maintain stamping dies to meet production daily output and part quality
- Prepare tools for changeover
- Suggest improvements on tools to overcome recurring problems
- Troubleshoot and adjust tooling at stamping machines
- Change and set up production equipment
- Assist process engineers in controlling tooling spare inventory and requisition
- Conduct measurements of products based on product drawing specifications for the first piece setup using measuring instruments such as Tool Maker's Microscope, Micrometer, Profile Projector, and Smart Scope
- Maintain high safety standards and compliance to safe work practices
- Operate basic tool room equipment like Surface Grinder, Drilling & Milling machines
Requirements:
- Minimum NTC 2 in Tool & Die Making or Diploma in Tool & Die Making
- At least five years' experience in high-speed stamping industry
- Ability to read product and tooling drawings
- Ability to debug tooling issues based on die strip/tooling progression
- Ability to operate surface grinding machines and maintain tooling accuracy of spare parts
- Ability to maintain carbide punches and dies and familiar with grinding with diamond wheels
- Ability to operate stamping press and ancillary equipment
- Ability to measure stamped parts using precision measuring equipment like Tool Maker's Microscope, Micrometer, Profile Projector, and Smart Scope
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
- Effective communication skills
