About the Role:
The Desktop Support Specialist will be responsible for providing first- and second-level desktop support for end-users, working closely with customers to resolve issues promptly and efficiently. They will assist with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technologies, including installation, configuration, migration, upgrading, and maintenance of desktop PCs, operating systems, application software, and related IT peripherals. Additionally, they will perform troubleshooting for client platform-related problems, respond to incidents, investigate, and provide temporary and/or permanent resolutions as needed. Other responsibilities include managing hardware and software requisitions, inventorying IT equipment, coordinating disposal, and performing other ad-hoc duties as assigned.Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need at least one year of experience in the IT industry, a diploma or degree in IT, computer engineering, or computer science. Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange/Linux is an advantage. You must be willing to take on a one-year contract and be prepared to travel or be deployed for projects. Strong customer orientation, problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment are essential qualities for this position.
