
Early Childhood Special Needs Educator

Role Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Needs EIP Teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for young children with special needs.
The ideal candidate will have excellent classroom management skills, be able to accurately document and report student behaviour, and develop engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a well-organized and structured classroom environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth.
- Behaviour Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document and report student behaviour to inform instruction and support the development of individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Lesson Plans: Develop and implement engaging and challenging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
In addition to these key responsibilities, you will also be responsible for planning and implementing social/emotional/behavioural interventions, curriculum and instruction responsibilities, assessment, grading, and homework, and student records and communication.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) or Diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education-Teaching (DECCE-T)
- Teaching experience in EIPIC is an advantage
- Knowledge of AEPS is an advantage
- Minimum one year experience working with young children with learning disabilities or preschoolers
- Strong command of written and spoken English language
