Job Title: Senior Blood Professional Assistant

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Senior Blood Professional Assistant. In this role, you will play a vital part in securing the nation's blood supply by ensuring a safe and adequate blood supply for public and private hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a first point of contact with donors at our blood collection centers, handle enquiries, assist with next appointment bookings, and manage feedback accordingly.
  • Perform registration duties, including registering donors for donation and phlebotomy linking.
  • Conduct haemoglobin testing and capping, which includes taking blood for haemoglobin test, explaining deferral to donor if required, checking, sorting blood bags and sample tubes before passing them to the laboratory.
  • Support blood collection teams with operational admin follow-up duties.

Requirements:

  • Minimum GCE N/O Level and above or equivalent.
  • Rostered to support morning, afternoon, and weekend shifts across a 5-day work week.
  • Applicants with recognized Phlebotomy skills and/or 2 years or more of working experience in similar settings will be considered for SBPA positions.
  • Willingness to be deployed to blood banks at OnePunggol, Woodlands, or Dhoby Ghaut.
