Capital Markets Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Capital Markets Associate to join our team in Singapore.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in legal knowledge and skills, with experience in a well-established law firm focusing on corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, and private equity investments.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal advisory on a broad range of transactions, including placements, rights issues, bonus issues, and other secondary issues.
  • Issuing bonds, continuing listing requirements, corporate disclosure, and corporate governance.
  • Capital and corporate restructuring, and employee share schemes.

The successful candidate will have worked in a variety of transactions in Singapore and the wider ASEAN region, including:

  • Acquisitions and divestments of companies, businesses, and assets.
  • Takeovers of Singapore listed companies.
  • Reverse takeovers (RTOs).
  • Mergers, amalgamations, and schemes of arrangements.
  • Delistings, privatisations, de-mergers, and corporate restructurings.
  • Private equity investments.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Singapore qualified lawyer with 2 to 4 years post-qualification experience.
  • Sound foundation in legal knowledge and skills.
  • Commitment to technical excellence and delivering excellent client service.
  • Possess initiative, drive, and commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication and drafting skills.
