Job Overview

The role of a Genetic Counsellor is to provide expert guidance and support to individuals and families affected by hereditary cardiac conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct patient assessments, interpret genetic test results, coordinate testing processes, and deliver clear counselling advice.
  • Collaborate with the medical team, handle referrals, contribute to research initiatives, and provide genetic education to healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
  • Postgraduate degree in Genetic Counselling (or equivalent).
  • At least 2 years' relevant clinical experience with demonstrated competency in genetic counselling.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications, including MS Office, databases, presentations, and pedigree drawing software.
