Job Description:

As a seasoned metrology engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative Metrology techniques and equipment to measure critical process metrics and close inline detection gaps. Your primary goal will be to accelerate cycles of learning by creating cutting-edge solutions for detecting in-line yield and process-limiting issues.

This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with engineers from various disciplines, including process integration, data science, metrology, RDA, and yield analysis. Your ideas will have a significant impact on the team globally, and you will be responsible for evaluations of new metrology equipment, recipe optimization, and collaboration with vendor teams to drive metrology roadmaps.

You will work closely with a global network to develop best-known methods and maintain alignment between sites. Active participation in technical meetings is expected, and you will synthesize new opportunities or novel approaches from these meetings. A continuous improvement process (CIP) demeanor is essential, as you will strive to improve operations, equipment performance, and make a difference today.

Key responsibilities include investigating process anomalies, root cause analysis, data manipulation, and correlations. You must have a proven track record of innovation and driving effective changes in an energizing environment. Flexibility and tenacity are crucial in pursuing goals, and excellent technical, communication, and analytical skills are required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Master's or PhD degree in a STEM discipline, such as Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum 10 years of equivalent experience in a 300mm semiconductor process engineering environment.
  • Experience in creating metrology solutions for analyzing experimental process flows, anomalies, and process signatures for characterizing and monitoring unit processes and modules.
  • Proven knowledge of semiconductor optical, X-ray, and/or e-beam metrology technologies.
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing metrology techniques and their application to 3D NAND process use cases.
