Description:

The Regulatory Compliance Specialist role is pivotal in ensuring the company's adherence to all related and relevant compliance regulations. This individual serves as a compliance advisory for various departments, collaborating with them to guarantee compliance with applicable regulations while achieving organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staying abreast of regulatory developments and changes impacting the company, advising business units accordingly.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, applying sound ethical judgment regarding business practices and conduct.
  • Providing guidance to business units on how to comply with relevant requirements in the context of issues and problems that arise during normal business activities.
  • Working hand-in-hand with business units to identify and manage regulatory risk, including handling time-critical incident reporting to the authority.
  • Assessing risk when business decisions are made, considering the company's reputation and key stakeholders' interests.
  • Developing and implementing organizational policies, standards, and procedures to comply with applicable regulations.
  • Developing, implementing, and executing compliance testing, continuous assurance, and reporting of compliance testing reviews.
  • Conducting training to improve awareness of compliance policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing regulatory requests and informing senior management of significant compliance matters requiring their attention or action in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • A degree holder in computer science, information technology, information security, economics, accounting, or related disciplines with at least 7 years of compliance experience in a regulated financial industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, paying careful and particular attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong team player with a track record of working well in a collaborative environment, possessing strong inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Strong documentation and report writing skills.
  • Self-driven with the ability to operate independently.
