Job Overview

The Supply Chain Manager - Global Planning role is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply planning process. This includes ensuring global capacity alignment to meet business demand, inventory targets, and service levels.

This role involves developing supply strategies, identifying constraints, and mitigation plans to ensure proactive supply and capacity planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Brand & Regional planning, product supply lead for long-range capacity and production requirements based on LRP.
  • Own supply signal to ensure product supply group has one source of forecast for decision-making.
  • Translate MFP forecast into capacity, allocation, material type, using MFP forecast, historical data, and insights to provide initial allocation guidance for vendor allocation teams.
  • Orchestrate cross-functionality to create and maintain seasonal buy plans, optimize global PO placement schedules, and set buy strategies.
  • Own monthly need-to-buy processes and seasonal calendars for buy dates and shipping schedules.
  • Drive capacity risk assessment, identify actions, and resolutions with regional planning teams.
  • Identify capacity risks and mitigation actions for both brand planning and product supply.
  • Work with material planning to define material proposition strategies to optimize lead times while balancing liability risks.
  • Partner with Brand Planning to align and govern buy strategies, define priorities across regions and products under constraint situations.
  • Govern buy executions to ensure alignment with agreed actions during global consensus meetings.
  • Coordinate information/data gathering and system setup for smooth buy executions.
  • Roll-up Capacity and Production Planning updates to communicate with regions.
  • Drive forecast accuracy improvements through higher-level communication and transparency with regions on issues and opportunities.
  • Challenge the status quo by adopting creative ideas that will drive improvement in process, supporting a customer-centric approach.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, operations management, engineering, or related fields.
  • 8-10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a strong background in capacity and production planning or similar fields.
  • Proven experience managing global teams across multiple countries.
  • Excellent communication skills, influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA).
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
