Role Description:

The role holder will drive product market fit and growth agendas for India, one of Tala's most exciting growth markets. As a member of the India team, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of Tala's end-to-end product experience in India.

You will collaborate closely with local and global product, business, design, engineering, and program teams to achieve exceptional business results aligned with Tala's vision of financial agency for all.

  • Develop winning business strategies for the India market in collaboration with the GM and other members of the India Leadership team.
  • Optimize the product strategy and roadmap for India in collaboration with the GM and the global expansion team.
  • Understand fintech regulations in India and craft regtech strategies to establish a competitive advantage.
  • Influence the data strategy for India to drive compliance and competitive advantage for Tala's core products.
  • Deep dive into Tala's audience, opportunity, and competitive landscape in India.
  • Iterate and personalize products to achieve product-market fit in India.
  • Utilize consumer behavior insights and local financial services ecosystem knowledge to drive business impact.
  • Collaborate with engineering to ensure excellent development execution and product delivery.
  • Launch new products, define success metrics, test performance, and iterate to deliver business impact.
  • Monitor product performance metrics and address product and user issues effectively.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in Product Management roles in finance, consumer mobile apps, or related industries.
  • In-depth understanding of the India FinTech space and consumer mobile ecosystem.
  • Proven track record of shipping and iterating consumer-facing software products in the fintech space.
  • Experience in building and growing products across different customer segments.
  • Proficiency in conducting vendor due diligence, integrating APIs, and customizing implementations.
  • Strong analytical skills to derive actionable insights from product performance data.
  • Familiarity with modern analytics tools and development practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with distributed teams.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to influence and manage teams through vision setting.
