Deputy Director - AI Software Engineering

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Director to lead our team of engineers in the development and delivery of large-scale AI-related projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AI software engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in product development and at least 8 years of working experience in the field of AI.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical leadership to a team of developers in the design and development of AI-related platforms, products, and solutions.
  • Establishing best practices for software development, engineering, quality assurance, DevOps, and MLOps.
  • Coaching and mentoring the team to ensure quality delivery of solutions in AI modeling, machine learning, sensors, data fusion, and integration.

The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in AI technology, with a strong understanding of Home Team Departments' business and technical requirements.

They will also have excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Additional requirements include:

  • Minimum degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplines.
  • At least 5 years' experience in programming languages such as Python, C++ etc.
  • Good knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks such as Pytorch, Tensorflow, Keras, Caffe etc.
  • Self-motivated, team player, creative with excellent communication skills, excellent technical and interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
