Job Title: Senior Commercial Executive

Overview of the Role:

This is a senior-level commercial position that involves preparing tenders and billing documents for ship repair and conversion assignments. The role requires strong technical knowledge, negotiation skills, and ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare pricing proposals based on cost breakdowns for labor hours, materials, suppliers, and subcontractor inputs.
  • Actively identify and liaise with subcontractors and vendors capable of supporting marine repair services.
  • Manage issuance of Purchase Orders and conduct pricing and term negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Collaborate with customers to clarify, negotiate, and finalize invoicing matters; track project progress and maintain accurate cost and budget records.
  • Negotiate procurement terms and place orders for equipment required for vessel repair and conversion activities.
  • Generate and present project profit & loss statements for management evaluation.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree from a recognized university or equivalent institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years' hands-on experience in ship repair operations.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a commercial function within a medium-sized shipyard.
