Senior Credit Administration Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Credit Administration professional to join our team at SMBC Group. As an AVP/VP, Credit Administration, Corporate Banking, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective management of credit risk and compliance within our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Credit Application Review: Conduct thorough reviews of credit applications to ensure compliance with regulatory, head office, and internal rules and regulations.
- Facility Letter and Loan Agreement Review: Review terms and conditions in facility letters and loan/security agreements to ensure compliance with approved credit applications and conditions imposed by the Credit Department/Head Office.
- Loan Documentation and Collection: Ensure loan documentation/collection is complete and conditions complied with before proceeding with facility limit and/or collateral registration.
- Credit Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor progress of credit applications, collateral conditions, and any irregular conditions imposed by the credit department.
- Regulatory and Compliance Reporting: Prepare regulatory and compliance reports as required.
- Internal and External Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address compliance-related matters.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process/speed optimization, efficiency/accuracy enhancement, cost reduction, and implement measures to improve workflows, streamline processes, and enhance productivity.
- Risk and Control Management: Focus on adequate risk and controls culture and management, ensuring regulatory and compliance controls are well understood and gaps, if any, are clearly recognized and risk evaluated.
- Operations Resiliency Planning: Contribute to building robust and deployable operations resiliency plans in line with head office policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
- Quality Enhancement: Transform and enhance the overall quality of customer and control deliveries.
- Education: Degree in Banking and Finance or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and Skills: Good understanding of bilateral/syndicated loan agreements according to prevailing market standards. Diligent, organized, and meticulous with a keen eye for details. Open-minded with a willingness to learn and highly receptive to transformational changes. Strong team player and active independent contributor with strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
