Job Title: Information Security Specialist

Job Description:

As a key member of our Information Security team, you will play a vital role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our data. Your expertise will be essential in identifying and mitigating potential security risks, developing and implementing robust security measures, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies to protect against cyber threats, including network, endpoint, and cloud-based attacks.
  • Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design and deploy secure infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Develop and maintain incident response plans to minimize the impact of security breaches.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging security trends and technologies, and provide training and guidance to colleagues on best practices.
  • Participate in security audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
  • Work closely with leadership to develop and implement security policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required to meet business objectives.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in information security, preferably in a similar organization.
  • Strong technical knowledge of networking, operating systems, and cloud computing platforms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with security frameworks, regulations, and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
  • CISSP or CEH certification preferred.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Cloud security certifications (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience with DevOps and Agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence and incident response.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and log analysis.
