Role Summary: Reporting into the Regional Head of Information Security, APAC, the Information Security Specialist will be supporting the RISO in aligning control standards of the enterprise Information Security program with cyber regulatory requirements in APAC and other Capital Group operating locales.

Partnering closely with regional L&C and the Office of the CISO, the incumbent will ensure that all relevant technology and cyber regulations are followed, while working closely with the organization's stakeholders to maintain and improve the company's security posture.

The incumbent will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in our Information Technology Group (ITG), Global Risk Management, and Business Groups in addition to external partners and vendors, to ensure continued delivery of the global Information Security agenda to the region, while conforming to regional requirements.

Primary responsibilities/essential functions
- Stay up-to-date with technology and cyber regulatory requirements predominantly in the Asia Pacific region (incumbent may be asked to support other CG operating locales as required), and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments to ensure that the company's security posture meets regulatory requirements.
- Provide recommendations and implement corrective actions to improve security posture and ensure compliance with technology and cyber regulatory requirements
- Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures that ensure compliance with relevant technology and cyber regulations in the Asia Pacific and Europe regions.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met.

Core requirements:

- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science/Law/Business Administration or equivalent
- 7 years ++ of experience in a regulatory compliance related function, with proficiencies in regulatory examinations
- Critical eye towards identification of tech regulatory risks, with the ability to develop controls and solutions for remediation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with regulatory examination preparation and response.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid attention to detail.
