Speech Scientist/Research Engineer">

The role of Speech Scientist/Research Engineer involves leading the development of innovative speech and voice signal processing technologies. This includes conducting research, designing and implementing algorithms for speech enhancement and recognition using microphone arrays.

  • Develop core algorithms using C/C++, Python, Tensorflow, and Matlab for speech enhancement and recognition.
  • Contribute to the development of voice-based products for applications such as acoustic event detection, speaker recognition, and speaker diarization.
  • Apply machine learning and AI technologies to enhance existing features and develop new ones in speech signal processing.
  • Maintain and update product software releases.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong background in voice signal processing, including adaptive filters, speech enhancement, microphone array, noise reduction, and acoustic echo cancellation (AEC).
  • Familiarity with AI algorithms and architectures relevant to their applications in speech signal processing.
  • Knowledge of speech processing toolkits (Kaldi/ESPnet/SpeechBrian) and deep learning toolkits (PyTorch/Tensorflow).

Experience

  • A minimum of 2+ years of experience in algorithm design and implementation.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new methods for developing prototypes.
  • Industrial product design experience is a plus.

Qualification

  • PhD in Electronics or Computer Science Engineering-related disciplines or Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • For Research Engineer position, candidates with Master's degree in Electronics or Computer Science Engineering-related disciplines or Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience are preferred.
