The AI-for-X Postdoctoral Fellowship is a prestigious program designed to attract and empower the world's brightest early-career researchers. This fellowship supports outstanding scientists who harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) to accelerate breakthroughs across science, technology, engineering, and mathematics including medicine (STEM).
We aim to cultivate the next generation of research leaders working at the intersection of AI and STEM, driving innovation and strengthening Singapore's AI-for-Science ecosystem.
This fellowship provides a unique opportunity to advance your research, expand your network, and shape the future of AI-enabled scientific discovery.
Key Features- Up to 4 years of funding

- Continued funding if transitioning to a tenure-track or equivalent role during the award period

- Structured AI training and mentorship from NTU faculty across AI and STEM disciplines
- Vital coaching on university-level teaching to aid transition to an academic career
- PhD (or equivalent) conferred in 2022 or later in any STEM field
- Strong academic and research record
- A compelling research proposal that clearly integrates AI to solve a scientific problem
- Must identify an NTU faculty member as a Project Mentor
- Available to commence the fellowship by March 31st
Applications must be submitted electronically via the NTU Online Application Portal by October 31st, 23:59 Singapore Time.
Applicants are required to submit the following:
- Cover letter
- Comprehensive CV (including Scopus Author ID and full publication list)
- Official PhD transcript or certificate (in English)
- Research proposal (maximum 2 pages)
- Top 3 publications (in PDF format)
- Letter of support from the NTU Project Mentor
- Contact details of 2 referees, one of whom must be the PhD supervisor
