Ship Repair Team Lead

Lead a skilled team to fulfill ship repair jobs at sea or in our dockyard, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the repair team
  • Oversee maintenance, service, and repair of all mechanical equipment on board ships, including diesel engines, pumps, gearboxes, and other systems
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues on vessels
  • Develop and implement cost-effective repair strategies
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workshop cleanliness
  • Attend dry-dock assignments as required
  • Install new equipment on board vessels
  • Train new team members
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards

Requirements:

  • Diploma or certificate in Marine Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience
  • Able to read drawings and write service reports using a PC or tablet
  • Capable of working on site, on ship, and in the workshop
  • Familiar with safety regulations and permit-to-work systems
