Power Plant Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Power Plant Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering, with experience in combined cycle power plants or related industries.

The Power Plant Specialist will be responsible for carrying out various field operation activities, including isolation and normalization, monitoring and logging equipment operation data, and responding to system exigencies as required.

The successful candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine checks and maintenance on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and log equipment operation data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Respond to system exigencies as required, including isolating and normalizing plant equipment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-5 years' experience in combined cycle power plants or related industries.
  • Diploma holder or higher NITEC in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated and independent.
  • Good knowledge of plant processes and operations.

Working Conditions:

This role is based on Jurong Island in Singapore and requires the ability to work on 12-hour rotating shifts (10am to 10pm and/or 10 pm to 10am).
