Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Vessel Operations Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our vessels.

  • Manage assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with owners' and charterers' requirements through close communication with stakeholders.
  • Monitor Marine and Technical Operations, maintenance, and repairs to prevent delays and minimize costs.
  • Stay up-to-date on international regulations and ensure our vessels comply with all relevant standards.
  • Provide technical assistance and advice to ships to improve their performance and efficiency.
  • Carr​y out regular audits and maintain vessels in operational readiness to meet charter party requirements.
Additional Responsibilities

In addition to the above responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Investigating insurance-related matters to minimize risk and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Liaising with the Procurement team to source supplies at competitive rates and optimize fleet operations.
  • Proposing operating strategies to maintain vessels within budgetary guidelines and ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitoring vessel conditions to ensure compliance with Port State Control and Oil Majors regulations.
  • Planning and implementing corrective actions for defects and maintaining a planned maintenance schedule.
  • Monitoring vessel certifications and surveys to ensure they meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring fleet performance meets charter party requirements and organizational goals.
