About the RoleThis is a 2-year contract position as an Academic Professor in the School of Design & Environment. Your primary responsibility will be to teach and develop modules related to Building, Civil Engineering, Project and Environmental Engineering.
- Develop and improve module content, ensuring it aligns with current legislations and professional practices.
- Teach and deliver modules in classroom and online settings, utilizing tools like Autocad, Revit/BIM, and 3-D modeling software.
- Set and conduct assessments for assigned modules, fostering academic excellence.
- Lead in integrating module content, teaching, and delivery to achieve course objectives.
- Experiment with new pedagogies or learning technologies to enhance curriculum delivery.
In addition to academic duties, you will contribute to administrative tasks that support school management, diploma programs, and module development.
- Assist with administrative and operational duties to ensure efficient school operations.
- Supervise junior team members, providing guidance and support.
- Solve operational problems to maintain efficiency and effectiveness.
To succeed in this role, you must have:
- At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in Building, Civil Engineering, Project and Environmental Engineering.
- Excellent communication skills in written, oral, and graphic forms.
- A high level of proficiency in using Autocad, Revit/BIM, and 3-D modeling software.
- The ability to plan, develop, and teach at least three areas: AutoDesk (REVIT), AutoCAD, Construction Fundamentals, Environmental Sustainability, Project Management, Structural Design, Site Management.
Ranging from SGD 80,000 - 120,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
