Senior FP&A Specialist

As a key member of the finance department, you will play a crucial role in driving financial performance by supporting strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, including long-term financial planning, for renewable energy projects.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial forecasts for the business unit.
  • Analyze financial results, including variance analysis, to highlight key trends and business drivers.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business decisions related to renewable energy projects, including cost-benefit analysis, ROI calculations, and scenario planning.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, providing analysis of key metrics and operational performance.
  • Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) for the renewable energy business, monitoring and reporting on performance against targets.
  • Work closely with project management, operations, and engineering teams to assess financial impacts of project developments, operational changes, and market trends.
  • Support senior management with financial presentations, strategic analysis, and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry trends, regulatory developments, and competitive landscapes to forecast future financial performance.
  • Assess financial risks associated with renewable energy investments and projects, proposing mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in financial planning, analysis, and reporting, within the energy or renewable energy sector.
  • Strong financial modeling skills, with experience in project finance and renewable energy financing structures (e.g., tax equity, PPA, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
