Job Opportunity in Quantum Photonics

We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team as a Quantum Photonics Research Specialist. As a member of our research group, you will have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge projects and work with leading experts in the field.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing critical components for photonic quantum information processing. This will involve designing and fabricating integrated photonic devices, developing and maintaining fabrication processes, performing optical and microwave characterization of integrated photonic devices, assisting in mentoring graduate students, and regularly disseminating research results through reports, presentations, and manuscripts.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and fabricate integrated photonic devices using thin-film lithium niobate as our material platform.
  • Develop and maintain fabrication processes to ensure high-quality devices.
  • Perform optical and microwave characterization of integrated photonic devices to measure their performance and optimize their design.
  • Assist in mentoring graduate students to help them develop their research skills and knowledge.
  • Regularly disseminate research results through reports, presentations, and manuscripts to share our findings with the scientific community.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this position, you should have a Ph.D. degree (completed or soon to be completed) in Physics, Applied Physics, Material Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant areas. Experience in nano/micro-fabrication and programming skills (e.g., Python, Matlab) are highly desirable.
