Job Title: Polymer Data Specialist

Our organization requires a skilled data collection professional to support the development of an AI model predicting polymer processing outcomes.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect real-time process parameters from extrusion and injection molding machines.
  • Monitor material usage, batch numbers, and feedstock characteristics.
  • Conduct sample measurements.
  • Input data into software tools and verify accuracy.
  • Report any errors or unusual findings to the engineering team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to understand process details.
  • Prepare weekly summaries and assist in creating reports for process improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Background in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with extrusion, injection molding, or similar manufacturing processes.
  • Prior experience in data collection, quality control, or machine operation is beneficial.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel (formulas, tables, basic analysis).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently following set protocols.
  • Primarily working in a manufacturing lab environment with required personal protective equipment (PPE).
