We are seeking a skilled and experienced Naval Architect to join our research team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to contribute to cutting-edge research projects in naval architecture.
- Develop naval architecture calculation and ship design tools using analytical or empirical methods.
- Carry out naval architecture calculations, including stability, resistance, hydrodynamic analysis, and CFD simulations.
- Coordinate procurement and liaison with vendors/suppliers.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or Ocean Engineering, and relevant experience in programming languages and marine hydrodynamics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships within and outside the university.
- Show initiative and ownership of work.
- Demonstrate proficiency in technical writing and presentation.
- Exhibit strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Requirements:
- Relevant competence in naval architecture and ship hydrodynamics.
- Master's or PhD degree is advantageous.
- Experience in marine hydrodynamics is advantageous.
