About the Role

Mizuho Bank, a leading financial services company, is seeking a skilled Treasury Operations Associate to join its Remittance, Deposits & Treasury Ops team in Singapore. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for processing customers and interbank transactions, including remittances, foreign exchange, derivatives, securities, time deposits, and domestic transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day treasury transactions, including validating trade deals and sending confirmation to counterparties.
  • Liaise with business units, including treasury front office, relationship managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Manage brokerage control fees from brokers and perform interbank settlement, FX, and time deposits.
  • Perform SWIFT payments, deal/settlement confirmations, and conduct AML checks.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies in transactions.
  • Participate in system testing, project initiation, and implementation.

Requirements

  • Experience in treasury back office environments, with a strong understanding of local regulations and treasury-related regulations.
  • Familiarity with over-the-counter derivatives products, bonds, and securities.
  • Knowledge of SWIFT messages, including MT103, MT202, MT300, and MT599.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel formulas, pivot tables, and charts.
  • Knowledge of RPA script writing using UiPath, Python, or other relevant tools (an added advantage).
  • Ability to multitask across functions and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
