The Logistics Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting both warehouse and logistics functions by overseeing daily store operations and assisting with logistics coordination.

  • Supervise the Storeman in receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching goods to ensure efficient stock management.
  • Oversee the housekeeping, organization, and security of the warehouse and storage areas to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Organize storage layouts for safe, accessible, and space-efficient stock placement to minimize waste and maximize productivity.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of stock records and assist with periodic stock takes and inventory checks to maintain data integrity.
  • Monitor adherence to stock management procedures, including clear labeling and storage of items to prevent damage or hazards.
  • Ensure proper handling, stacking, and storage of goods to prevent damage or hazards during transportation and storage.
  • Assist with transport scheduling and vendor coordination as required to meet business needs.
  • Take over logistics planning and coordination during the absence of the Logistics Executive to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams to fulfill material and logistics needs in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality and safety procedures to maintain a high level of service excellence.
  • Contribute suggestions to improving warehouse and logistics efficiency through process improvements and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Diploma & 2-3 years of experience in warehouse and logistics roles, marine industry experience preferred.
  • Advanced IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Email.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse procedure and logistics processes to optimize operations.
  • Organized and able to plan daily store activities efficiently to meet business needs.
  • Able to lead and provide clear direction to the Storeman to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail to maintain accuracy and quality.
  • Honest, dependable, and ethical in handling company property and information.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams.
  • Calm under pressure and able to adapt to unexpected challenges to maintain a high level of performance.
  • Team-oriented, willing to support both store and logistics functions to achieve business objectives.
  • Physically able to oversee warehouse activities to ensure safety and effectiveness.
