Housekeeping Team Lead Job Description

The key role of a Housekeeping Team Lead is to guarantee the cleanliness and organization of guest rooms and public areas. As a vital member of the hotel team, this position reports directly to the Executive Housekeeper.

  • Maintains high standards of cleanliness in all guestrooms and public areas by overseeing daily cleaning operations.
  • Effectively supervises room attendants, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Coordinates and administers housekeeping operations, ensuring seamless integration with other departments.
  • Takes action to resolve associate grievances and provides counseling as needed.
  • Ensures effective pest control systems are implemented to maintain a pest-free environment.
  • Maintains equipment used in the Housekeeping Department, optimizing functionality and efficiency.
  • Completes all work orders related to Housekeeping, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Oversees maintenance of plants, gardening, and landscaping operations throughout the hotel premises.
  • Safeguards high levels of guest satisfaction by promptly responding to guest requests and addressing any concerns.
  • Conducts regular checks on housekeeping trolleys and pantry storage areas, maintaining optimal stock levels and preventing losses.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel setting.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and empower team members.
