Procurement Specialist Role Overview

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the procurement of raw materials, components, and secondary processes from subcontractors. This includes obtaining quotations, managing Work Orders and Purchase Orders, and developing a comprehensive sourcing strategy to achieve cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and evaluate their suitability.
  • Purchase raw materials, components, and assign secondary processes to subcontractors.
  • Manage Work Orders and Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery and compliance with company policies.
  • Cultivate a robust sourcing strategy to reduce costs and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Evaluate purchases for assigned buyers and collaborate with the group sourcing team on procurement evaluations.
  • Develop and implement Supply Chain Management plans to drive business growth.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Experience in procurement and purchasing processes.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Able to manage complex processes.
  • Possesses tenacity, resilience, drive, and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
